News and Events

We are pleased to invite you to visit this year’s

Bruce Peninsula Art Show

The Bruce Peninsula Art Show was started 43 years ago by Stokes Bay artist Vince Elliott as a venue for local artists to exhibit their works of art. Years later a committee of other interested artists and volunteers picked up the Show and kept it going, leading to today’s committee of seven local artists and volunteers. Those eligible to enter are permanent or summer residents of Grey/Bruce.

This year the Show runs from Friday, July 30th, 7 pm to 9 pm with the opening and ‘Meet the Artists’ Friday evening. Saturday, July 31st, Sunday, Aug. 1st and the holiday Monday, Aug. 2nd from 11 am to 5 pm, at the District School.

The Artists Co-op Gallery was also formed in 1997, now located in Lion's Head, and displays and sells the work of 14 juried BPSA members.

Other art events that fall under the BPSA, are the annual Bruce Peninsula Art Show and our annual Studio Tour.

The Bruce Peninsula Society of Artists (BPSA) was formed in 1997 by a small group of local artists.

It meets monthly in Lion's Head, Ontario. Our mandate is to provide a forum where area artists can meet, talk about art, share in art events, learn from workshops and each other, and give art on the Bruce Peninsula a higher profile.

Meetings: are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month, at 1:30 pm in the Anglican Parish Hall in Lion’s Head. In the summer months the time changes to 7:00 pm in the evening. Meetings feature speakers, hands-on events, and other informative art topics. Everyone is always welcome.
